Huntington’s Victoria Events

Throughout the year we host a number of events including the Gala Ball, and May Awareness which includes Light It Up 4 HD and the community conference. Our events are run in collaboration with the Huntington’s disease community in order to both bring them together and also raise awareness about Huntington’s disease.

Light It Up 4 HD

Throughout October landmarks across metropolitan and regional Victoria will be lit up in blue to raise awareness of Huntington’s Disease. This event usually takes place during May as part of our awareness month. However due to covid-19 this event is now running during October.

Community Conference 5th-6th December 2020 (virtual)

The HV community conference is an annual event which started in 2011.  This 2 day event features guest speakers from both the community, professionals and our researchers.

The agenda for the day is set by the community, reflecting their information needs.

This is a free event, and for the first time it will be hosted via a Zoom event.

More information about this event will be available in the coming week.

May Awareness Month

In collaboration with our partner organisations in Canada and America, each year we pledge the month of May to raise vital awareness of Huntington’s Disease.

Throughout this month we run campaigns and events to help raise the profile of Huntington’s disease and the work we do to help support those who suffer from this incurable disease.
